The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a nationally recognized educational board in India. It conducts examinations for Classes 10 and 12. Despite the stringent checking methods, students are often sceptical about their CBSE results and may wish to verify them.
CBSE provides students of Class 10th and 12th the option to request for recheck or re-evaluation if they are not happy with their CBSE results. It is essential to remember that the CBSE re-evaluation process may, however, increase, decrease or not change the marks obtained.

Verification of marks is the process where the evaluator checks
Based on these checks the marks of the candidate could increase or decrease. After verifying marks, if the students still wish to challenge the board, they have the option to get a copy of the answer sheet.
Applying for verification of marks
The following information is typically required in the application form:
The outcome of verification will be updated in the online account of the candidate on the CBSE website. In case there is a change in marks, the first communication will be reflected online and once the marks have been recalculated and finalised, the actual increase/decrease of marks will be provided.
If the candidate is not satisfied with their score even after verification of marks, then they can apply for a photocopy of the answer sheet. This will help the candidate calculate the marks on their own.
Candidates who have applied for a photocopy of the answer sheet will receive a scanned copy of the answer sheet in their online account on the CBSE website. If the candidate wishes to challenge the marks awarded, they can do so by applying for a re-evaluation of the answers.
Applying for obtaining a photocopy of the answer sheet
If both the methods above do not generate a desirable outcome as expected by the candidate, they have an option to have individual answers re-evaluated.
A student cannot apply for more than ten questions to re-evaluate. Re-evaluation will be done only for the theory papers. When applying for a re-evaluation, the candidate will have to refer to the marking scheme of the subject they wish the board to re-evaluate. They will then submit an application with their reasons for a re-evaluation of the question(s) they wish to get re-evaluated.
Applying for re-evaluation of answers
The status of the re-evaluation will be communicated to the candidate on the website and the result of the re-evaluation will be considered as final. No further requests for re-evaluation shall be entertained post this. The step-by-step procedure to check re-evaluated results is as below:
